Course Duration
In general courses at the College commence about late September and end in
June of the following year. There are holidays at Christmas and at Easter.
Students may also return home at weekends. On completion of the courses
students expected to continue in the level 3 course or the Advanced
Certificate in Dairy Herd Management
Admission
To qualify for the grant, a student should have completed the senior cycle
at second level or be at least 17 years of age on Ist January on the year following
entry to the College. Application forms may be obtained from the College or from Teagasc
Offices, and should be returned to the College Principal before the specified
closing date.
HETAC Courses
Particpants in HETAC Courses can avail of VEC grants which are means
tested. Applicantions to this course are through the CAO system. Further information any aspect of the education and training

European Social Fund (ESF) Assisted Grant Scheme Teagasc Grants, which are co-funded by the European Social Fund, are
available for students at the College following the FETAC
programmes. The Scheme is administered by the College Principal.
Advertising in both national and local papers is done each year in early May.
