| Student development is an integral part of the College curriculum. Students are encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities which will enhance their development both personally and physically.
In the Inter College Competitions such as football, hurling, athletics etc. Clonakilty Agricultural College has had its fair share of successes;
winning the All-Ireland Hurling Championship in 2003, and
the All-Ireland Football Competition in 2007/2008. |

A number of past students have also gone on to achieve greater heights with both their clubs and county.
The Training Centre contributes in a big way to the continued success and development of our students.
We also have a number of in-house activities for students such as indoor soccer, basketball, table tennis and pool.
Macra na Feirme plays a big part in the social and cultural development of students. Each year students are encouraged to participate in many Macra Inter College activities such as debating, table quiz. The main event of the year is the Macra Challenge Competition where students get involved in doing farm projects, stock judging, tractor driving, welding, drama and a number of sporting events. Over the years Clonakilty have been very successful in these competitions.
Student development incorporates individual support for students with
numeracy and literacy problems. This help is available through in-house expertise and
VEC partnerships.
