The Agricultural College is
situated in the townland of townland of Darrara (sometimes
mispelled Dararra)
near the town of Clonakilty, West Cork. The College is located off
the main Bandon - Clonakilty road. All parts of the country are
easily accessible and the college arranges a bus network for
students at weekends to service East Cork, North Cork and Kerry.
As well as provincial buses and trains.
Clonakilty is well known for its beauty and its hospitality.
The area is one of the earliest in the country for grass growth,
which allows its farmers to be one of the most competitive in the
country. The town itself won the Tidy Towns award in 1999. Lios-na-gCon
Ringfort is located near the College.
